Some people have the perception that archaeological study is only found in universities and libraries across Canada, but this couldn’t be further from the truth – the fact is, archaeological study has a massive influence on the development of constructions and infrastructure across the entirety of the country. These archaeological services are essential for ensuring that our country’s rich heritage and undiscovered treasures aren’t harmed or damaged in any way. At Toronto Archaeological Consulting, we’re proud that we’re able to positively contribute to the protection of these institutions throughout the Toronto, Ontario area – and beyond – and we’d be more than happy to help you with any pressing matters that need our attention. Below, you can learn a little more information on what our archaeological services are, and why they matter. For anybody with lingering doubts or questions, or for those who’d like to schedule a consultation, our customer service representatives are available over the phone or online.
Broad Range of Service
Archaeological services can be useful for a number of reasons across a broad spectrum of circumstances – and we’re there to help you with every situation where you need real archaeological expertise. While the primary function of our service is full-scale, specialised archaeological impact assessments, we’re also available to assist you with desk-based assessments, heritage statements, geophysical surveys, trial trenching, excavation service, and so much more. If you’re unsure whether or not we’ll be able to help you with your service request, you only need to reach out to our customer service representatives to get clarity – they’d be more than happy to help.
Archaeological Impact Assessments
If you’re planning on beginning a major construction or development problem – or even something smaller scale – then you are almost certainly going to need an archaeological impact assessment carried out on the site. There is a specific criteria in place to determine the level of archaeological impact assessment that is needed at your location – with factors relating to previous archaeological finds and landscape topography just a small sample of what’s relevant. Our four stage assessment process, which is regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Culture, will give a thorough understanding of the area you’re developing on.
Working with Parties
We understand that archaeological impact assessments – and the various archaeological services we provide – will prove impactful for any number of parties involved in the situation. As such, we’re used to working alongside (and for) local authorities, property developers, land acquisition companies, heritage consultants, archaeology experts, and so many more. We’re confident that we have what it takes to get any project request completed, regardless of where it’s coming from.
Service Value
Many of the service requests that we take on are considered mandatory for the customers we’re serving, but even so, we do our best to make all of our archaeological services accessible and affordably priced at all times. We want to make sure that our customers aren’t just getting a great service, but also a great price point.
